VoteAble is a secure, government-grade election management and voter assistance platform exclusively deployed for authorized election personnel. The system is not a consumer product and is restricted to verified officers of the election administration.

All data processed within VoteAble is used exclusively for the lawful administration of elections and provision of voter assistance services. There is no secondary commercial use of any kind.

• Displaying Differently Abled Persons (DAP) on secure officer map interfaces
• Enabling election officers to locate and assist voters efficiently
• Managing voter queries and tracking resolution progress
• Supporting decision-making via administrative dashboards

Officer Location Usage

• Collected only while app is open and in active use (foreground)
• Used solely to show proximity to voters requiring assistance
• Enables real-time operational coordination between field officers
• Never collected in the background
• Not permanently stored — session-use only

Voter Location

Voter location data is stored as part of official election records and is used exclusively for mapping assistance requirements and dispatch planning. Access is restricted to authorized officers by role-based controls.

VoteAble integrates only with essential infrastructure and platform services required for its operation. No marketing, analytics, or advertising SDKs are included.

Data Processing Basis

All third-party services operate under strict data processing agreements. They receive only the minimum data necessary for their function and are contractually prohibited from using it for any independent purpose, including advertising or analytics.

VoteAble maintains a strict data minimization and non-disclosure posture. Data is shared only within the bounds necessary for election administration.

VoteAble requests only the minimum permissions necessary for its core functionality. No unnecessary permissions are requested.

Storage Infrastructure

All data is stored in a secured PostgreSQL database hosted via Railway.app infrastructure. All connections are encrypted using TLS. No sensitive data is stored in plaintext or locally on user devices.

Retention Policy

• Voter assistance data: retained for the duration of the election cycle
• Officer session/location data: not permanently stored — purged after session
• Operational logs: retained as required by election administration guidelines
• Data purge requests processed through official administrative channels

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), data principals are entitled to the following rights, exercisable through official administrative channels:

• Right to Access: View personal data held about you in the system
• Right to Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of data where legally permissible
• Right to Grievance Redressal: Raise concerns with the designated Data Fiduciary
• Right to Nominate: Nominate a representative in case of incapacity

Data modification is governed by assigned administrative role privileges. All requests are processed through formal election administrative channels.

VoteAble implements industry-standard security controls appropriate for a government election management system.

Technical Controls

• No sensitive data cached or stored locally on Android devices

Operational Controls

Processing Basis

• Collected solely to provide voting assistance to eligible individuals
• Access is strictly restricted to authorized election officers
• Used exclusively for election day support and logistics
• Never shared with political entities, parties, or commercial bodies
• Handled with heightened security and access controls

This processing is conducted on the basis of lawful public interest and official authority for election administration purposes.

VoteAble is designed exclusively for two categories of users — both of whom must be adults:

• Registered voters — eligible voters aged 18 years and above
• Authorized election officials — government-appointed adult officers

• Representation of the People Act, 1950 & 1951 — governing the conduct of elections in India
• Google Play Developer Program Policies — compliance with all applicable store policies including Data Safety requirements
